It's here at last! Welcome to the first ever BritShopS newsletter.

Well, after one or two false starts caused by the usual technical teething problems, BritShopS is proud to announce that we are now open for business and the Grocer's shop is fully refurbished and beginning to fill its shelves.

Like all the most successful businesses we are starting small to ensure that we are providing British products of exceptional quality. We are delighted to introduce Cegin Pennant of North Wales as the first BritShopS supplier with their extensive range of preserves, chutneys, and traditional Welsh cakes and Bara Brith. Obviously we have to try everything we are proposing to sell before introducing them to the marketplace, and we can assure you that all these items are absolutely delicious!

With Christmas just around the corner, why not add some Cegin Pennant Cranberry Relish to your traditional Christmas Fayre?

Not having turkey this year? Maybe you are having goose? Or Duck? Well, in the Grocers store we have a traditional Tudor accompaniment, Cegin Pennant Quince Jelly.

Have you ever tried traditional Welsh Bara Brith? Do you like fruit cake? Bara Brith is a true taste of Welsh cooking; a delicious fruit loaf with a difference. Before being baked into the cake the fruit is soaked in tea. This gives the whole loaf a richer taste and a deliciously moist texture. Absolutely scrumptious when covered in lashings of thick butter. British butter of course!

As mentioned earlier we are starting small but we are currently in negotiations with a number of other suppliers and over the coming weeks we will be introducing many new products to the BritShopS marketplace.

When you signed up to the BritShopS website you were, we are sure, enticed by the prospect of a free BritShopS mug! Well, we are very pleased to announce that production of the mugs is well under way, and we expect to take delivery by the end of November. As soon as they arrive, one will be winging it's way to you poste haste where we know it will take pride of place on your mug tree. Imagine it filled with steaming hot tea right next to your buttered Bara Brith.
