Happy New Year to you and yours from all at BritShopS. And welcome to issue number two of the BritShopS Newsletter.
We expect 2007 to be a big year for BritShopS. We have been delighted by the level of interest shown by customers and subscribers during our first months of trading, and for that we thank you all.
2006 saw us introduce Cegin Pennant as our first supplier with their extensive range of preserves, chutneys, Bara Brith and other baked goods. Customers who have bought Cegin Pennant products have been more than enthusiastic about their purchase. And, in a blind tasting, the Cegin Pennant jams beat a selection of upmarket rivals hands-down!
The Breconshire Brewery has won a number of CAMRA awards for its range of cask conditioned ales. And in December we were delighted to welcome them into the BritShopS marketplace. Our panel of tasters declared the ales to be "Absholutely Sshmmashing Hic!". And we've included the mixed case on our web site so that you too can sample the range: a selection of Welsh ales to suit a breadth of tastes including warm, full-bodied Ramblers Ruin, light, refreshing Golden Valley and malty Red Dragon with, as the name suggests, its fiery red hue.
So, what will 2007 bring? Well, for one thing, new goodies to stock the BritShopS shelves. We already have a number of companies who are interested in joining the BritShopS world and we expect to sign-up our first non-food retailer in the very near future.
We will also be pushing the BritShopS profile in the media and we are negotiating a feature in a national magazine for the first quarter of the year.
As always we are on the lookout for new products and would love to hear from anyone who would like to be part of the growing BritShopS community. Just send us an email. Or perhaps there is something in particular you would like to see available on our website? Your thoughts and suggestions are always welcome.
Once again may we wish you a very happy and prosperous 2007.
Kind Regards
The BritShopS Team
