Welcome to the last BritShopS newsletter of 2007! May we take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Don't forget, if you've forgotten Great Aunt Audry's Christmas present or just need to stock up on sparkling wine or mince pies, or you just need something different as a gift idea then don't forget to look at the BritShopS site, we may have just the thing you are looking for!
As you may have seen from our previous newsletters, BritShopS made it's first ever appearance at a public Fair when we hosted a stall at the St Francis of Assisi Church Bazaar in West Wickham, Kent on 17th November. We were delighted with the interest shown by those who visited us. We had, as you can see from the picture, three of the BritShopS team manning the stall and a large range of items from across our broad spectrum of products. The event was so successful we actually ran out of some stock and had to take orders over the counter for subsequent delivery! We have also taken a number of orders from people who visited the stall and took away one of our advertising leaflets.
Firstly, may we take this opportunity to welcome the large number of new subscribers to the BritShopS website since our last newsletter.
For those already subscribed, have you visited our new look website recently? If not you may be surprised at the recent developments to the site. Why not visit us now and see the updates.
We have been hard at work throughout October in preparation for our first ever appearance at a local fair. As mentioned in our last newsletter, on 17th November we shall be hosting a stall at the St Francis of Assisi Bazaar in West Wickham, Kent starting at 10am. We are looking forward to this milestone event with excitement. We will have a large selection of items available from across our range of products, from sweets to beer and everything in between. This is the first of many fairs we plan to attend over the coming year and we will be delighted to see you on the 17th and at subsequent events.
Autumn is now truly here, cooler weather, yet more rain, and Christmas getting ever closer! Come to think of it, we don't seem to remember having had that much of a summer!
Now that the evenings are closing in and the nights are getting colder (sorry to rub it in) why not stay in, browse the newly refurbished BritShopS Emporium, and allow yourself to be tempted? All your old favourite British products are still there but everything about the site is now better, included the long awaited Gift Vouchers. As a valued customer of BritShopS you should already have received your complimentary £5 voucher. You can spend the voucher whenever you wish or, should you prefer, forward it to a friend or family member for them to spend at the BritShopS Emporium. Vouchers are also available for you to purchase and send as gifts.
Well the holiday season is nearly over, the children will be returning to school, and life will slowly return to normal again. Though August is traditionally a quiet month with lots of people away on their holidays, it hasn't stopped us beavering away in our little back office. Having decided to implement a voucher system, we then decided to take things a step or three further and create a brand new shopping site. It's very nearly ready and, when it is, we will announce its arrival by dropping that voucher we've been promising into your email inbox.
We will also be offering vouchers to anyone who recommends a new customer to BritShops. When your friends, relatives and colleagues sign up to BritShopS all they need to do is mention your name in the Contact Us page, and we will send you another voucher!
Welcome to issue number four of the BritShopS newsletter.
Firstly all of us on the BritShopS team would like to offer our heartfelt sympathy to all our customers, suppliers and associates who have been so badly affected by the recent torrential rain and resultant devastating floods. Our thoughts are with you in these difficult times.
Now to more upbeat news! As a post script in the last newsletter we mentioned that we were in the final stages of negotiation with two new suppliers, Greg D'Souza and Brays Sweets. We are delighted to announce that both of them have now joined the BritShopS family of suppliers and you can see all that they have to offer on the BritShopS shopping site.
Well, here it is at last! Welcome to issue number three of the BritShopS newsletter.
What a time we have had since the last newsletter! At the end of April we launched a new website which coincided with our first ever press release in the May issue of Best of British magazine. Now, alongside the shopping site, we have an information site wherein you will find a detailed history of all our suppliers. You will also find a page about BritShopS which will give you a revealing insight into the BritShopS team, including two frighteningly accurate caricatures of the BritShopS founders, a potted history of our original ideas, where we started and where we hope to go in the future.
Also on the information page is a News section which gives you a rolling update on all BritShopS news, new suppliers, special events and new products. Soon to come will be a section containing all the previous newsletters too so you can catch up on any you may have missed.
There are numerous other items on the Information site, which include a recipe page and suggestions for that good old weekend pastime, the British summertime barbecue!
Happy New Year to you and yours from all at BritShopS. And welcome to issue number two of the BritShopS Newsletter.
We expect 2007 to be a big year for BritShopS. We have been delighted by the level of interest shown by customers and subscribers during our first months of trading, and for that we thank you all.
2006 saw us introduce Cegin Pennant as our first supplier with their extensive range of preserves, chutneys, Bara Brith and other baked goods. Customers who have bought Cegin Pennant products have been more than enthusiastic about their purchase. And, in a blind tasting, the Cegin Pennant jams beat a selection of upmarket rivals hands-down!
It's here at last! Welcome to the first ever BritShopS newsletter.
Well, after one or two false starts caused by the usual technical teething problems, BritShopS is proud to announce that we are now open for business and the Grocer's shop is fully refurbished and beginning to fill its shelves.
Like all the most successful businesses we are starting small to ensure that we are providing British products of exceptional quality. We are delighted to introduce Cegin Pennant of North Wales as the first BritShopS supplier with their extensive range of preserves, chutneys, and traditional Welsh cakes and Bara Brith. Obviously we have to try everything we are proposing to sell before introducing them to the marketplace, and we can assure you that all these items are absolutely delicious!
